sent a bitcoin transaction from a native segwit wallet to an original legacy address.

The remaining balance shows corrrectly in mycelium which was used to do the transaction, and the transaction amount shows correcty.

However, in Trezor Suite, it shows that the whole balance was sent and there is nothing remaining.

Fixed this by sending to myself to the same wallet from mycelium to trezor.

Even tried to activate a legacy bitcoin wallet on trezor, to see if the change transaction went there to a legacy address, nope nothing.

So strange, I would like to figure this out, zaps for anwers.

Yep, that makes sense β€” Mycelium likely used a change address that Trezor Suite doesn’t scan by default. Your BTC was always safe; Trezor just couldn’t see the change. Sending it back to yourself moved the funds to a known address that Trezor recognizes. All sorted now! βœ…

@trezor? Oh that's right your guys aren't on nostr yet πŸ˜„πŸ™

Never using @mycelium again.

They won't even open source reproducable binaries

MYCELOUM WALLET IS PART OF THE PROBLEM

https://walletscrutiny.com/ heres a platform you can use to know more about walllets . WalletScrutiny helps everyday bitcoin users verify whether or not their wallet is truly open-source and secure.

I'm an expert on wallets. For over 13 years.

I wasnt upset because of something that hsooened to me, but rather the defaults mycelium presets for new users in terms of transaction fees.

Anyway, I'm done with biitcoin.

Biggest mistake of my life.

the change from your transaction was sent to a Native SegWit address that Trezor Suite doesn’t monitor by default. Mycelium recognized the address, but Trezor Suite didn't since it only watches specific derivation paths ( m/44'/0'/0'/0 1... SegWit P2SH-P2WPKH m/49'/0'/0'/0 3... Native SegWit P2WPKH m/84'/0'/0'/0 bc1q... ..Taproot P2TR m/86'/0'/0'/0 bc1p... ..

biggest mistake??? you being sarcastic lol... anyways, before you are done, when zaps πŸ˜„

yes i know trezor doesnt monitor it by default.

so i activated the legacy derivation path, as I have done many times before. still nothing. then when i sent it to "myself" it became a coin join transaction some how and took 6 hours to confirm, probably because stupid fucking mycelium sets the default tx fee to 1 fucking satoshi so a new user im instructing overlooked that and freaked out causing more problems.

zaps coming, even though this is still a mystery, please hold.

no sarcasm, full honesty.

smashed my dinner plate and sent the food flying all over the kitchen this evening.

im done with everyone

sorry about the experience and for feeling that way. πŸ«‚
