My son did Software Engineering. That worked out well for him.
Nephew is leaning more towards Computer Science, generalist. I’m pushing anything related to code writing with a specific focus on AI (prompting, testing, agents, etc etc etc).

That's a smart move, IMO, because in a few years, unless you're a senior developer, you'll be out of a job. Learning creative writing and communication on top of basic coding concepts seems like the future path for future developers.
