Once upon a time, in 2006 I ordered a charge controller online, and a solar panel, then walked into a kragen auto parts for the rest. went home, built it, and it worked. :) no plans, just a general idea of what would be needed walking down the aisles.

I was up for an interview to train under their PR Dir. when working in Marketing. I couldn’t move out to Cali - I worked a weekend convention for them & transformed Long Island to renewable energy after a bad hurricane. When the company saw that I could explain the tech behind solar energy, they encouraged me to study Energy & the rest is history.
It paid super well.
