Do you have a recipe that can be canned (without pressure canning gear)?

I found this one, but it says to put it in the fridge for no more than a fortnight. It also adds sugar, so it's doubly suspect in my book!

You should be able to can anything by just boiling the jars in water to force all the air out. I think these recipes are always too conservative about how long you can keep your goods.

So uh, what do I use these on? Like sure I could grind them up into a powder, but they look so pretty in rings...
