Right. I can't remember if it was pine tar or just tallow soap, it was a long time ago, my Grandmother used homemade soap. Your soap brought back memories of the smell.

Thinking Pine Tar. Plain Tallow has no scent. But could be how they rendered it at that time as well. 🤷
