"Earning it's place"?

Bitcoin has been sitting at it's own table in the lunch hall since the start , and you've called it a dork and thrown milk at it and gave it wedgies and wet willies and shit, and over time everyone started sitting at Bitcoins table , until YOU are the only one sitting alone at your table, a sad and pathetic loser , and so you go and sit beside Bitcoin , drape your arms around it and say "I think you've earnt me sitting at your table."
