If you have something someone will come for it, and you'll want to protect it, so you'll build an army. But the incentives have changed, and the capabilities. It doesn't matter if the tribe next door wants what I have, they can't take it.
Even if they knew where I kept my hardware wallet, even if they killed me, they couldn't take it. Even if they had nuclear bombs and I lived in a tent, they couldn't take it.
This new dynamic changes a lot.
They want food, physical goods, items, your women etc
