I thought the battle was over for my #wildyard, turns out the local authorities now consider it to be a "public nuisance". I can either mow down all of our #plants and #flowers and drive away all of the #pollinators and other #wildlife I've worked so hard to attract, or I can fight it out in #court.

We do have a few things going for us:

1) no noxious weeds in the yard, everything serves a purpose

2) we have a catalog of beneficial insects living in our yard

3) we have a catalog of the plants living in our yard

4) nobody is complaining about our yard except the authorities

5) i won't back down until the supreme court hears my case

I spent Q1 in the ICU and a rehab hospital recovering from Guillain-Barre Syndrome, so I could probably use a hardship, but that would only get me through this summer, they'd be back even harder next year. Spending Q1 in the ICU also means I'm behind the curve financially for the year.

Now I just need to find some #eco #warrior #legal #assistance. 🤙🏻

I am so sorry to hear this. I'm fighting similar battles in VT. The vilification of nature has terrible momentum right now. Stay strong.
