Takes hours and and hours of staying up really late, nay, ALL NIGHT to perfect one's craft though, no matter the gear🙏🏻😜.

One of my favourite quotes about synths: “someone with a cheap drum machine he masters will always make better beats than someone with a premium drum machine that he barely uses/understands”

And the hours and hours can definitely happen during the day, for those of us who sleep at night 🤭

They can, of course. I hope your parenting is going well, and I have no doubt that it is, because, well, you're just a fine, fine man (Serious tone🤨)🙏🏻.

Parenting is going great. Kids are a blessing. Love them

Oldest is starting school in 6 months.

Nice one. My only one is 30 at the start of next year😳😂. He lives with me now (Again), he split up eith his GF about 10 months ago🙄😂. Love the lad to bits but we're VERY different. For instance, he wouldn't know one end of a 303 from the other. C'est la vie🤷🏻‍♂️😂.

😂😂

I remember you telling me he left a large pile of clothing in the room you use as a studio. It hindered your music production a bit.

That is 💯 correct node, be it a drum machine, synth's or anything, we have a phrase here in The UK, I don't know if you're familiar with it but it's kind of Univetsal, it goes thus. "All the gear but no idea🤷🏻‍♂️"😂😂. So true🙏🏻.

Makes a lot of sense. So true

That’s why I try to stay away from GAS as much as possible. My main synths are the rytm and the four. Still learning but when I listen to what I made with them at first vs now, there’s a clear improvement. I sequence the td-3 through the other two so still only need to learn the main too. Mastering the gear is key. It can get way more creative. Watched some Aphex twin like jam on YT yesterday with the rytm. The guy was only using 3 tracks. Much more studying to do
