Does anyone know, if you enable Apple’s “private relay” pseudo-VPN on mobile, but also have a proper VPN on your phone, in which order does the encryption/bouncing happen?

I.e. does it go through your real VPN and then get directed through the Apple relay? Presumably that would be more “identifiable” than if it went Apple *then* Mullvad (etc.)… thoughts?

private relay is always last

Thanks. Wouldn’t that be significantly less private, or at least less ano/pseudonymous, if Apple is “controlling” that leg of the journey?

depends. if they are implementing the protocol how they say they are, VPNs only add a marginal improvement

Roger that

Let me know when you find out

not sure if it's 100 the case but when I turn on Mullvad in Germany the private relay stops working.
