Chatted with a colleague. Been a while. Couple years. Lots has changed.

People, places... Faded away like the dark at daybreak.

Left the old. Facebook. Instagram. Linkedin. Everyone I know is still there. Never hear from them. Every now and then, my brother will give me an update. Strange feeling knowing.

Embraced the new. Bitcoin. NOSTR. Decentralization. New people. New connections. It changes you.

Interesting to look back.

Where you been. Where you're going. More importantly, who've you become in the process.

Don't know why I'm writing.

Was on my mind.

The platforms are smart, they mix local content, with historic contacts mixed in as well as algorithms hooking you with clickbait videos and dopmine loops. Getting out of it is hard as you have to justify removing a part of your past.

Absolutely.

Left in 2014. Found out my account was part of an FB experiment. They would only post negative news. See how you reacted. They sent an email afterwards explaining. Deleted account right then and there. Told everyone. Showed the email. No one believed.

Everyone's still there.

Definitely feels like I've been cleaved from the herd.
