It’s international women’s day, the perfect day to recognize the most perfect woman I know, my wife.
She is an OBGYN and has been getting REKT on call. She has been up since 3AM.
She comes home this evening and I ask about her day:
A shoulder dystocia. She saved the baby’s life. I have no doubt. Cut an episiotomy, swept the posterior arm, broke the clavicle, and then delivered a little miracle baby.
I listened to this, her confidence. Her joy in having been there to help. I told her I was proud of her and she said: “I had been preparing for that moment my whole career.”
Mind blown. What a hero. Mother and baby are doing great!
