I think it's a child's responsibility to recognize the faults of their parents and try to improve those qualities in themselves.
As parents age it's like a passing of the torch. Sounds like you're doing a great job.

On your first point I 💯 agree. And in retrospect my parents had many. But I'm certain mini me will think the same of me and her mom.
On your second point, "we" (my sisters & I) are doing a good job. If I were a single child (either of my sisters) were the only child, things would have been much more difficult. We all bring different talents to the table on this one and I for one am glad we do. Even though those differences are often the source of our frustrations with each other. 😅😂🤣
