You’re a bit of a scholarly person much like myself (not like it shows on my part), so I have to get your opinion on this. This site, Retraction Watch, has documented the retraction of around 5,000 scientific research papers as of now. Last year saw 4,600 papers get pulled alone.
Kind of speaks to the reality of the ongoing replication crisis, innit? Academia’s in trouble. Interestingly, this site also has a listing of retracted Coronavirus-related entries:
