Welcome! Keep in mind nostr it isn't a social media platform like TikTok but a protocol that can house every social media app and much, much more.

The beauty of nostr is that you control your algo based on the people, hashtags, etc. that you follow. Additionally, you fully own your identity (your private key) and can take it to any app that gets built on the platform. There have already been a litany of apps built to mimic many of the well-known platforms and more are currently in development.

Thank you for the welcome! I’m not a techie, so probably have more of a learning curve to understand how to fully engage here in the best way, but I love learning new things.. I need to start with figuring out how to find my private key that can be used on all of the nostr apps?! 🥴

In your nostr client, look for an option like Backup Keys, that's your private key.

It'll start with nsec. Your public key starts with npub.

Other people will tell you to use a signer app. You most likely will eventually. Don't worry about it today though. There's plenty of time to learn about the ton of other cool things you can do with nostr. Nostr can be quite overwhelming at first because it's way, way more than just a social media app.
