#asknostr #cashu

Anyone know how to add your NWC credentials from cashu.me in #amethyst? It just copy & pastes the entire string, but I need to break it up into three (3) separate parts;

1. Public key

2. Public relay

3. Private string

Can anyone share how to do this? Where exactly do I break up the copied string and place it in amethyst?

I wonder why nobody can answer this simple question

For real. I don't think it's that hard, no? How truly stupid am I? Do the tool builders not even know what they built?

Thanks for reposting. I have tried many variations of the string, cutting it apart, and still nothing.

NWC could very well be broke on cashu.me so not discounting that either. I also could be the dumbest user using all this stuff. Can't discount my stupidity either.

NWC does not work on cashu.me

Hope it gets fixed, or someone guides me on how to do so.

I'm trying to find a trustworthy QR code generator that I can install on another device, and scan from there.

That worked however, after I send the SATs in amethyst, I have to navigate to cashu.me to let cashu.me execute the transaction. If I want to use TOR then this won't work because the browser clears out the cookies when I close the browser. So like LNC, NWC is useless over TOR.

Damn, back to square one then. Still no "one-tap-zap" with #cashu .me via NWC.

DAMN!!!

For what it's worth, I can send zaps from nostr over TOR which wasn't possible before NWC. It's just a huge pain and requires multiple devices.

Exactly the problem as you just did; need multiple devices and is quite a pain

Thanks for the effort though

Use a regular browser and use tor as proxy so you don’t lose local data

You can simply copy your NWC string and paste it into a notepad or any text app. There, you can split the long string into three parts: the Pubkey, the relay, and the secret. These parts are separated by the & symbol.
