I know a few of you are running Graphene phones.

I found out yesterday that I haven't been receiving updates for quite some time.

It might be a good idea to manually check, if you're haven't had to restart your phone in a while.

If you go to Settings > About phone, your Build number should be 2024060400

To update, go to Settings > System > System Updates > Check for Updates.

It took some time for the update to be ready to install.

This build will give you access to setup a PIN & password to wipe your phone should you find yourself under duress. 🔥

Yeap! That’s how I do it

Automatic updates can be enabled or disabled IIRC

I rarely allow automatic updates but with this one I didn't even get notifications that one was available. It's quite possible it's never been updated until now.

I suspected something was wrong for a while but only recently decided to go looking.

Once I manually triggered the check, I was prompted to install 2 separate updates.

I figured someone else might be in a similar position.

I found my old pixel5 so gonna try graphene w it 🥳

You should probably be aware of this but also it's worth it just to have a play with Graphene:

Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 are end-of-life and shouldn't be used anymore due to lack of security patches for firmware and drivers. We provide extended support for harm reduction.

The main point was just to play around so I will give it a shot. I would need to buy another pixel otherwise. Maybe one day soon 🙏

You'll breath a new life into your pixel & get a taste for not giving all your data to Google.

It was a really refreshing feeling for me.
