What species, tho? Doesn’t looked like a dog tick, which is more common here. Deer ticks are much smaller.

The stripes can look like stripes or full blown rorschach inkblot nightmare images.

I believe you are right. Looks the part, common in my area, and we had a mild winter, so it’s going to be a tick-filled summer.
