Sometimes someone asks an innocent question, but there are so many layers of wrong thinking in the premise that the question winds up sounding like “how far is yellow?”, and it would take forever just to get to a mutually understood starting point.

So most of the time I just don’t answer.

Yes and sometimes the layers are not innocent but rather attempt to manipulate you in which case the whiteboard comes out.

Real life mute is harder

Apparently, I’m scary looking so it winds up being less of an issue. Plus, I can always just run away while they’re talking. 🏃‍♂️💨

Replying with a question is better, mishearing it as the question it should have been all along is geriatric-pilled
