Yea, trying to stop crypto miners and video encode caps worked so well the last few years... no wait, there is always a patch to disable the caps the day new drivers come out.

Their only option would be removing tensor cores altogether. Then gamers can't use that sweet dlss 3+, sales plummet, stocks fall, AI is no longer funded by fevered gamer hype and requires even more venture capital to continue operations.

I'm not sure they can really stop this without hurting themselves at the same time, especially as banking is falling apart.

Guess we will see how it all plays out.
