It's a good explanation, but the average joe isn't going to engage with LN unless they can just spend/save/send the amount they want without knowing or managing this. People are spoiled by the legacy banking system hiding the settlement from them.
I believe this will come in time. It’s all quite early and raw right now.
You’re right, although I do think people will put up with complexity if something is beneficial enough to them. Like back in the 90s when we had to learn to install a modem and tie up the home phone line just to use slow af internet. 😂 But it was worth that inconvenience because of what it added to our lives. People don’t understand yet what lightning adds to their life, and that’s if they’ve even heard of it at all.
I think we're looking at a scenario that will take at least one more generation worth of attrition. The boomers are already too far gone and many of the genX group are too spoiled. The millennials will have to drive this and they are, but making it mainstream will rely on making it a button-push "plug and play" product for most.
