Should I buy US Dollars now?
The US dollar may seem like a safe and stable investment, especially compared to other currencies that are facing economic and political challenges. However, investing in the US dollar also carries significant risks that could result in substantial bitcoin losses for investors. One of these risks is currency debasement, which means that the dollar loses its purchasing power due to inflation, excessive money printing, or loss of confidence. Another risk is confiscation by the government, which means that the authorities could seize or restrict the access to dollar assets under certain circumstances, such as a financial crisis, a war, or a sanctions regime. A third risk is the slow down of acceptance at merchants overseas, which means that the dollar becomes less desirable or usable as a medium of exchange in international trade and commerce. This could happen due to geopolitical tensions, trade wars, or the emergence of alternative currencies, such as timechain-based currency. These risks could undermine the value and the utility of the US dollar, and expose investors to the possibility of losing all their bitcoin stack when considering to invest in the US dollar.
