I quited with the bullshit when I found out I got a better evaluation doing nothing but telling them what they wanted to hear than actually doing my job.

It is amazing how those companies can function/survive at all.

Covid made the whole situation even more surreal.

Thank God I could leave that behind me.

It’s a feature, not a bug. Large employers need continuity of service to maintain their client relationships. They over staff, and every now and again when a high performer is promoted or leaves, the rest of the team has to work a little harder until the go-getter is backfilled.
