I shut down my lightning node last night after over 2 years of almost constant uptime. I have no regrets in the experiment, As I learned a lot about lightning and Bitcoin in general. It just simply was not serving my goals. I plan to use minibits for zaps and aqua wallet for intermediate storage. The mint fees, routing fees, and bolt exchange fees we're all things I found myself paying anyways. I think the network is better served by pseudonyms with more liquidity to offer. Which is why I will be focusing my efforts here on the nostr. Both in content and an infrastructure.
