well Frens, i finally baq !

after almost 3 weeks on the road touring Florida

last day i thought i found the home ... told everyone that was it ... but while driving back i changed my mind

that said it was 80F in Orlando and now that i'm back in NJ it's 25F

come on man !

i went from people enjoying the beach and outdoor pools to me barely feeling my fingers from the cold after eating a protein bar outside of the gas station.

night and day difference.

in Orlando all the girls wear shorts so short their ass cheeks show.

ALL the girls.

in the north they cover up like it's Iran or Saudi Arabia or something.

Maybe Bronze Age Pervert was right with all that "Tropical Aryan Urheimat" stuff. Sounds very promising. I still like your idea as a long-term possibility even though I can't do it in the short-term.

And that's taking into account that I think Florida has many and considerable downsides. The benefits might be enough to overcome that.

Florida is not one place just like how NorthEast is not one place.

Cambridge, MA:

is very different from Kensington, PA:

no i haven't been to Kensington, but i have been to Cambridge. it was paradise but also it was August and it will be different picture in January and i can't afford anything there anyway.

ideally you would have one home in Miami and one in Cambridge and spend half a year in each ... as soon as i win the lottery.

actually i haven't been to Miami but i do know the winters there are significantly milder than even in Orlando.

it was cool before and after i was in Orlando - it just happened to be summer weather while i was there.

Miami would be a great place ( climate wise ) to live during winter and Boston during summer. but this would cost about 4X as much as having one home in Orlando.

again, i haven't been to Miami - it would have been a fairly long drive from Orlando.

on other hand hand i did drop by Tampa to check out the goth night scene there as it was just 1 hour drive from Orlando ! i managed to checkout the night scene in both Orlando and Tampa in the same night. as advertised Tampa has goths while Orlando and Jacksonville do not.

as goth-adjacent myself i like having the option to hit up Tampa like that ... but i wouldn't want to live in Tampa myself ... it's a bit more run down than Orlando and so is JAX.

Orlando is a step up from both JAX and Tampa.

Miami is PROBABLY a step up from Orlando, but not sure.

Ponte Vedra ( and to lesser extent Nocatee ) in St. John's county is VERY nice but those aren't cities. they are JAX suburbs and JAX is a dump.

anyway there are a lot of great places in Florida.

a lot of shitholes as well.

but with a car the shitholes can be avoided.

the problem with places like NYC is that you're not in a car - you're on the subway - and it always goes through some ghetto.

in Florida you can just take a freeway straight to the beach or to the club without stopping in the ghettos.

NYC is great for people who can afford to live in Down Town or Mid Town Manhattan and use Taxi as their primary mode of transportation. Keep in mind as well that everything like Gyms costs more in Manhattan. You can expect to pay over $200 a month for gym there for example.

it's also great for homeless and prostitutes and drug dealers.

not really an option for anybody trying to raise a family. people with kids all live in outside of NYC and commute.

the objective when commuting is to take some Nigger Free ( read expensive ) transport such as Coach Bus that bypasses all the ghettos and goes from Suburbs straight to Financial District or Mid-Town. the ones that go to Financial District make a few stops there so you can walk from the bus stop. The ones that go to bus terminal in Mid-Town will require you to take a subway for the last leg of your trip =/

as for BAP i mean he's not wrong. the greatest white civilization was Rome and when you consider they had no air conditioners in Rome and had to work in the sun during the day ( rather than chill under AC or outside of club at night ) they were sweating a lot more than people sweat in Florida.

there is a fad these days where people think going to Sauna to will improve their health.

well Florida in the summer is one giant sauna !

the ONE downside to Florida is hot cars. cars parked in the sun are up to 50F hotter than outside, so since it's 90F in florda half the time and sunny almost all the time your car will be 140F inside when you approach it.

ABSOLUTELY IMPERATIVE to have heat reflective ceramic window tint ( check FL law for maximum tint level allowed ), preferably light color seats with either forced air ventilation or fabric surface, a light color exterior and ability to start AC from a phone app.

i would also recommend summer tires as those are rated down to 45F and you will rarely see temps below that.

and of course if your AC dies you die too.

also if you come to Florida in Summer make sure to pack shorts, White Microfiber T-Shirts ( Under Armour, Adidas or Nike ) and Light Color Sun Hats ( many options here - but you can start with Adidas, though it isn't foldable like my Sunday Afternoons hats but i can see how foldable hats may not be stylish enough for some ).

and some Aquafina water bottles ( Florida doesn't have any spring water that doesn't taste like piss - you must drink purified water instead ). I like Aquafina because they have quality bottles that have a nice big cap and do not crackle.

Don't cry for 90f.

Where I live it is 108f and the thermal sensation is 149f.

I say that in the shade, in the sun you can expect much higher temperatures.
