How many people really want this? Wouldn’t be too difficult to add this as a mode in Damus.

Sounds like a cool way to manage your feed. 👍

Me. Many notifications on posts go missing, ironically, all the positive ones too - & only the hateful/hot ones are flooded in my feed. I have to click each & every single post to see all responses, that aren’t indicated in notifications center. Frustrating. Angering 😅

I really want to see entire conversation threads fully expanded so we don’t have to tap on each reply to see the next one, meaning a lot of notes are not visible. It kinda wrecks natural conversation flow.

I had this in an early version and everyone hated it so I removed it

Probably because the older version was too jumpy. It might work a lot better now.

Oh wow… this sounds like progress. My feelings of full on anger has transitioned to hopefulness & optimism. 😂🤣 I’m really sorry for all of the mean things that I have said…

It’s called having a growth mindset. When you choose love over anger, a lot of doors open.

I know what a “growth mindset” is - business 101. I chose to #stayhard & don’t forget, I came on Nostr through Damus & began zapping as a BTC trader invested in attending Nostr’s non conference in Costa Rica.

It’s called, check yourself.

PS - I don’t give social media that allow the drive of hate to exist a “benefit of the doubt,” but because I know Nostr is made up of good people - I put faith into it.

Exactly, seems obvious

This struggle will only continue to increase

If you mean you want to see every reply to every reply in one big scroll I think that’s too much. Twitter seems to have found a sweet spot, but I can’t tell exactly what their ruleset is for which replies to show, how deep, and how to sort.

Maybe it could just show the username and allow an option to expand more. The issue is, you can’t even tell if a note has replies beneath it yet, so you won’t see it unless you tap on each one individually. I think this is a challenge to be solved. No Nostr client seems to be doing this well yet.

#[5] Yes, I also like the previous thread, where everyone's opinions can be seen and added to the topic at any time, but now only a few comments can be seen, each one needs to be clicked on individually. Before, it was because people chatting under their own posts would receive notifications unrelated to themselves and would be disturbed. Just turn off the comment notifications that don't relate to you.

Will be adding features that makes it easier to see other conversations in a thread

Great 🤙⚡️

This will be especially good for running joke and meme threads, a bit more like Reddit.

It’s a great way to filter the entire nostr experience (home feed, notifications, global) using your network of friends as a sort of “automated spam/garbage filter”

I personally find that setting global to only paid relays will be overly restrictive over time, while using nothing at all will make global a useless hellscape lol

This friends degree of separation seems like a good middle ground.

Whatever concentration iris.to has, it is seamlessly positive.

Might be a decent way to mitigate spam. If (unuseful) bots don’t have real people followers they might not get into the feed much even if you set it real high like 20 degrees or something.

I personally think all clients should have a short list of “moderation” parameters like this that the users can turn off or fine tune. Should also include a block or reported threshold by friends if possible. This is also where you could put something like a pow or zap threshold

But mute thread is also extremely critical and more important at this stage. Doesn’t seem to be a way to block harassment - is the bug of getting notifications from blocked users fixed?

#[5] keep in mind that part of the reason people rave about filter.nostr.wine so much is that it enables this on the relay side. 2 degree filtering is just really nice.

I find relay management the most confusing thing so far. Would be a benefit for me I reckon
