Oh god the way I learn is so scattered I don’t even know. I think I just started peeling the onion on Lie Group, lie algebras, representation theory (woits book is really good). Once you realize that so much of physics is based on irreducible representations of symmetry groups things start getting really interesting. Understanding what SO(2), SU(2), means, how it relates to quantum observables, pauli matrices, etc… so much to explore. Chatgpt helps a lot, it’s an infinitely patient tutor.

Peeling the onion with the Wikipedia article it is then, I’ve heard people talking about SO(2), SU(2) and never really understood what it means, I’m just excited about learning the terms at this point 😂

Have you looked at the basic math of QM yet? The notation and generalization of vectors and inner products by way of Hilbert space is very nice. There's a good video series here: https://www.youtube.com/@quantumsensechannel/videos

I know about Hilbert space and the general notion in QM, but this was a very nice channel! Glad you introduced it to me, refreshing all topics one by one!
