I posted this in the #Yondar telegram community yesterday:
Hey everyone. I wanted to let you all know that I no longer have funding or time to work on Yondar anymore. I am no longer with the company that funded my Yondar development. I am now the CTO of FanFares.io/ nostr:npub16lvpp8hyxetuuczk4kjx2vqxhwmyruc72r59ysmgrsnjg5rcz8kqk07j3k which is a nostr-based podcast webapp, so my time and focus is now on that as well as my OpenSats grant for ONOSENDAI.
I am disappointed that things did not work out as I hoped because I love Yondar deeply but I have to abandon it for the foreseeable future. I greatly appreciate all of you who are fans and supporters, and most of all contributors to Yondar. I still believe deeply in nostr's potential for mapping, geospatial, and navigation utility.
In consolation, Yondar will remain open source. Additionally, I have been consulting with nostr:npub1cn670f663n3ks02jnnlsvd5y88zjnefy8343ykaxs7y3nzzketrsrjwt8a/ nostr:npub1864jglrrhv6alguwql9pqtmd5296nww5dpcewapmmcazk8vq4mks0tt2tq and nostr:npub1sy70twa0vadtk8hjs6wt2hmfszduj04tw78ccs3ktmr9u99mfmqsj62srx/ nostr:npub15xd2mmjnh3caykh77djsv73e0zkrp42jp5mwerx8f4m6su40wdvss7t3l3 and am still working to complete the Places NIP which Satlantis has implemented. I am passionate about geospatial and will continue to contribute to nostr in this capacity wherever I am able, but developing and promoting an app in my free time is not possible.
I apologize for the long silence on this as it has been a time of tremendous transition in my life with the new job and other personal developments. If anyone wants to take up the Yondar project or has anything they would like to discuss I am always open to talk. Thank you everyone. πΎπ
