Looks like films won't be made in California for much longer.

Not sure about that. I probably won’t be watching any movie where the actors are not real. Unless I really can’t tell they aren’t.
Give it ten years.
You already have. I'm sure. Why wouldn't you watch a movie just because the actors aren't human?
Same reason why I don’t care about AI art.
Which is? Are you saying an AI can't make a beautiful drawing? It can. Better than most humans. Why wouldn't you want to watch better movies if we can save 1/2 on it's production cost? I don't think AI is capable of making art. It can however make very good drawings, scripts, videos, and everything else. It just won't have a human element and I believe art needs soul. But a good movie does not need soul. A good painting does not need soul. A good book, film, etc can be achieved without the wok and time required not other humans for out own entertainment. Don't think that means people should stop making art. I actually think AI will bring about the new Renaissance. We will once again start to see art flourish. Put all these grifters out of business.
If it didn’t come from a human I could care less what it looks like. Already block all ai generated garbage and will continue doing so. Same for acting. If it becomes the overwhelming trend I’ll just stop watching.
But sounds like it won’t be for a while with this law.
But, it’s possible it gets so good I won’t be able to tell the difference and it won’t matter what I value if it looks all the same.
Of course there are CGI scenes and most comics are mostly CGI, anime, comics, plenty of non-human characters that are worth watching. But replacing majority of it on a large scale is not something I support nor care to see. I want to see human talent, not generated talent.
If you want to see human talent, then you should absolutely support replacing the majority of it large scale. Most humans don't have talent. The culture has convinced you they do. The fact we have so many "talented people" is what's diluting humanities art.
