Yes, regular on JS8Call or experimenting with other stuff.
It's so cool to be able to make these contacts using zero infrastructure. People just don't get it. I loved seeing the map light up for everyone who heard my FT8 CQ. That being said, my ham motivation was to use it for winlink when offshore. Starlink fixed that need.
Indeed hard to convey how insane it is to reach such distance without any infrastructure. It's hard for folks to understand since phones just work. Except when they don't...
Winlink is cool, same for Varac. Same it's all mostly closed source and windows oriented.

I used getpat.io and ardop. This reticulum looks very active and well produced, have you tested it? I spend a bunch of time with AX25 and aprs which was fun. Maybe time to finally buy some LoRa devices and try this.
