I discovered a wooden shaft club in my grand parents cellar when I was a kid so got fairly decent from about 100 yards. But otherwise not very good at all.

Golf became flog and I haven't been in years.

A nine iron, a bucket of balls, and a green 100 yards away, in the early morning might get me back out on the course, though.

Sounds like a perfect par 3 situation to me 🥹

As a kid I played in a park, one hole, played from different directions. As an 10-11 year old, I caddied one summer and would sneak onto the course very early, before having to carry what I remember being big, heavy golf bags.

With golf for me though, on a par 3, I'd feel the need to at least be shooting par. And for that, I'd probably need to be practicing 1-2 hours per day.

Geez, you got me thinking.

Four!!! 🏌️⛳

Simpler on the court hitting tennis balls. Better exercise. No practice required.
