I don’t shop there, also it’s not a monopoly. just start attacking people that do shop there, that will eliminate the profits that you hate. Or did you have a different solution in mind?

I do have something different a little different in mind. Don’t shop there, workers can unionize, and we can try to change the world by changing the ideology.

That’s good blend of your solution and mine.

See, slavery was legal and accepted in America until it was made illegal.

Slavery is still accepted. The definition has just been tweaked and modernized. Some may argue that property taxes are a great example of modern day slavery. You work your ass off for something, but spend the rest of your life paying the government to not take it away. We can claim to be free, but the government still sees us as property.

But I would extend that to corporations viewing the labor pool as property as well. They don’t like it when people are not working.

I agree with you 100%. Most corporations also expect their employees to wear multiple hats and to juggle responsibilities outside of their job descriptions without any hopes of a raise/promotion.

These days you are expected to go above and beyond just to show that you’re grateful for your job. Otherwise you might get pulled aside by your boss so they can hit you with new age terms like “quiet quitting”. 🙄😅

They also attach health care to employment which is another aspect of control.
