My wife got the idea of letting the dog sleep with us for the first month or 2 when we got her. I tries to tell her if you do that, we're sleeping with a dog for the next decade. She thought I was crazy. 3 years later, we still have a dog in bed with us every night. Occasionally she'll lay with one of the kids if they're sick.

It doesn't bother me most of the time but it can be annoying when she's restless and I wake up getting kicked in the spine.
Ha, I get kicked awake for bathroom breaks sometimes. Though I prefer that to the alternative.
