Last decent Windows version was NT 4.0; every other version aside from Vista and 7 have done more than enough for it to earn the modern moniker of Shitblows.

I gave up dual booting and went full time linux a few years back and really dont regret it
Whenever someone asks me for help with a Windows PC I'm baffled by how backwards much of it is. Yet people who use it will still say its easier than linux. Its masochistic behavior
Lock-in is a hell of a drug.
Even their own users reject change. Ask Windows 10 & 11 users what they think of the windows store. Sure its a poor excuse of a package manager, but they unironically prefer to just download exes off websites it is not fuckin normal lol
Don't get me wrong, certain apps and games I've gotten off that store when I still used Shitblows weren't totally terrible.
Really, the only reason it exists on desktop was in hopes that UWP's (doubt they're even called that anymore) would cross over between Xbox and Windows platforms.
As we've seen, that didn't pan out.
Only good application of UWP I ever experienced was installing retroarch on an Xbox in dev mode 😈
