I assumed vets are equally shitty. They actually do ask this?
Yea a lot things usually wrong with dog is a rapid change in diet. They usually ask you about that first.

Well good to know. Fortunately my cats have not ever needed a vet visit, but at least I can expect some sanity should the need occur
