During World War II, Father Arsenie was imprisoned for his faith and for his work helping others. He was a man of deep prayer and humility. After his release, he lived as a hermit near the Prislop Monastery in Romania. People came to him seeking spiritual guidance and solace. He offered counsel and comfort to all, regardless of their background. He lived a life of incredible simplicity and taught others to find God in the everyday. He is known as a true confessor of the faith.
