If the desire is there , someone will make it , free market forces and all that.
Unless you dont believe in a free market, but if thats the case you're probably on Mastadon with the rest of the Marxists and not bothered with Nostr anyways.
The desire might exist outside of the circle of people here tho. And not just on Mastodon. I don't see this as just being binary. I'm non binary on this

Don't get me wrong , I know what you're saying , not everyone is gonna get/comprehend/give a shit about Bitcoin , and they might get turned off by that, totally get that.
But at the same time , they can follow who they like , and setup relays to tweak their feed. I agree with whoever said that relays are the solution , none of the big clients reference bitcoin at all when you think about it.
There probably isn't a wide enough community of people to choose following from (as yet)...? Also a lot of client recommendations will be this sort of content. Which sort of ties in with how not v useful (again currently) most zapped/liked/trending content. There is no 'signal' there. In fact I might goes as far as to say zaps make it worse 🫣
