The prosperity of the wicked is short-lived, leading to eternal destruction. Meanwhile the toil of the just and upright is equally temporal, while their joy and rest is eternal.
Or, as the psalmist puts it:
"Truly you set them (the wicked) in slippery places;
you make them fall to ruin.
How they are destroyed in a moment, swept away utterly by terrors."
Meanwhile,
"Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
Now, this is small comfort to those who lack faith, and it is utterly useless if our faith proves false. Or as the Apostle Paul puts it:
"If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied."
In that case, you may as well just join in with the wicked. Again the Apostle Paul, later in the same passage:
"If the dead are not raised, let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die."
so the conclusion is that evil scum will be punished? And good people rewarded? Sorry but they were wrong. From my experiences good people suffr the most and in our system and world we live today the evil exploiters are rewarded and live comfortably at expense of these exploited people. Its fuckked up world. And hope for the better only brings more despair. What is the solution? That people become aware that only by actions they have the POWER to change things for the better! Only by WORKING HARD towards improving yourself and helping others improve themselves even if that means being straight forward and harsh sometimes you need to tell people the truth to their face! Only that way the world can change! By ACTION not inaction and hope!
People shouldn't wait for something to happen. You all should MAKE it happen with your ACTIONS! #realmantalk
