Agree, but unfortunately most people love to see the blood in the circus. Human psyche often love to taste a slice of violent revenge against the crimes they had to endure.
Orherwise public executions wouldn't have been the best free show for centuries.

I find it disturbing to watch too, and at the same time wonder if it isn’t good for me to see the reality of what it looks like to combat criminality. There’s nothing tidy about fighting to keep our streets safe.

From where I’m standing, they look like highly-staged pieces of propaganda.
Yes, of course they’re propaganda and I’m mostly disturbed that they’re obviously designed like that to appeal to people’s bloodlust. Many people must be turned on by that stuff.
At the same time, there are brutal criminals doing terrible things to people, and the methods for handling them can’t be pretty.
I have mixed feelings about all of it.
