A dollar #stablecoin will:

1. Extend seigniorage, funding inflation, by creating trillions of dollars of demand abroad for US treasuries.

2. Allow the US Gov / ruling class to program the financial behavior of the world, including US citizens.

3. Unify surveillance, making every dollar transaction everywhere in the world visible to the US Gov programmatically, except for cash which will be no doubt phased out.

A #CBDC with a private front end.

I agree but I think Saif is right. The most bullish scenario for stablecoins is more bullish for bitcoin.

For the dollar it would be like going from:

-Being the 08 patriots who almost never lost a game

-To being the 2019 pats who were clearly vulnerable and lost the first game

Think about being undisputed to being at best contested and most definitely vulnerable. Nothing stops this train.

Eventually the dollar will be the 2023 Patriots: a laughing stock usurped by the new Bitcoin regime.
