Hmm I thought half the thing with Nostr was it was a lightweight, efficient protocol? Maybe that doesn’t matter much once a bunch of features are added.

It actually is lightweight; the implementation overhead is very minimal.

The problem is the overengineered clients. Ract, Svelte and friends crap out a lot of memory usage with VDOM and stuff that affects older laptops more as the VM overhead becomes quite real...problematic. :/
