They received their money in less than 5 minutes.

A bit dumb when it comes to the mining side of bitcoin, but isnt this because the transaction was so large, all the miners compete to process it?

Yeah. I paid 5 bucks a couple of days ago sending 2k from blink wallet to strike wallet. Still that was cheaper than using the banks
