16? wow, I'd file that under being fortunate.
It's always hard to see them slow down. Accepting that inevitable reality keeps me more human than most humans. One day for me = 7 days for them.
That realization keeps me from being that lazy guy on the couch on some days.
Make the most of what time you have left with her.
