I recently heard this and it really stuck with me:

“In a video game, do you know what a boss is? It’s the character you have to kill before leveling up.”

Life is a game in its own way. Obviously you shouldn’t kill your boss. But when it comes to competition, you should strive to out perform your peers and run circles even around your boss.

Keep showing up every day, doing your best in every endeavor and you might just “get lucky” 😉
