Even more annoying, for me, is the inability to move signal storage to external SD card. GBs of data, almost out of space, pretty dumb.
That might be a problem with Signal not Graphene.

Yes, it's a Signal issue.
If you haven't already, try SimpleX. Can be found in F-Droid.
Yep, I'm on SimpleX. Sadly I'd already got friends and family to move to Signal and they're not interested in another transition...
Best u can do is set the standard and those that want to will follow.
