I have only briefly used gemini chat to offer cli commands for projects so my experience is limited.

The main thing that seems off to me is that the back and forth is me copy pasta.

I realized that what I seem to want is the AI to see the outcomes of the commands and offer responses without me pasting away. So a local AI on the device put to work to create an outcome is much more useful long term.

Perhaps this is more a rational agent than just an LLM that I would prefer.

There is obvious privacy issues. Some kind of Maple encrypted local agent that acts on your behalf to problem solve and develop the stated goals is what I want.

AI should be much more like a loyal subject not a foreign interloper.
