Reason why I hate the state #2231

Okupas.

In Spain, if a burglar is able to take hold of your house for at least 48h it’s legally impossible to remove him with force (i.e. with the help of a policeman) and you need to press charges against him and go to court.

For 6 months for up to 2 years which is average time you’ll have to wait before you can get that court decision in Spain you need to pay for his electricity bills and other services and he lives basically rent free.

I’ve been told that if the perpetrator somehow manages to live in your house for 5 straight years, he also becomes legal owner of the property but I did not managed to find any evidence on this.

Spanish state is systematically overlooking this problem which the state itself created in the first place with its policies.

This is a problem which wouldn’t have been possible in anarchy, because the right of private ownership is basically above all else.
