Normalize having an application-branded npub for software release notes and official announcements, so that people who don't like you personally don't have to follow your npub to find out important information about your product.

Will each app have to list an app npub, that communicates when there's an update, if you follow it?

Yup, the npub is key for:

- signing every version

- existing in a WoT so users know it's the right noun who signs

Using that same npub as a marketing tool is a byproduct of that
