I've switched to nostr:npub1yzvxlwp7wawed5vgefwfmugvumtp8c8t0etk3g8sky4n0ndvyxesnxrf8q as my desktop client. Smooth and feature-rich.

What are the other desktop clients that you’ve tried? And why didn’t they went out?
I’d been using Primal almost exclusively, but IMO, it’s too unstable.
How is it unstable? I have used it primarily on the web and Android with virtually zero issues for months now. I like Yakihonne, but it seems slow is all.
It’s been crashing pretty consistently for me recently, and it seems like it’s getting worse.
Primal has been 🗑️ recently. Any complex searches of profiles or hashtags makes it crash. Any long-form scrolling to search for past notes -crash. Any long draft typed out -crash. It’s been brutal.
What do you use for a lightning wallet?
I have tried it and all the others. IMO nothing beats noStrudel (nostrudel.ninja)
I do like it, but seems to have been semi-abandoned.
Interesting! I'll give it a try! Cause mobile keeps crashing after I comment
I like Yaki, but doesn't it seem a little slow loading all the time compared to others? I was just reading and heard the name Coracle mentioned, so I thought I'd try it. I have to say I like it a lot so far. I might have to give it a good test and check it some more.
Do you run a relay on your laptop? Or do you use some sore of server like Umbrel?
I do have an nostr:npub1aghreq2dpz3h3799hrawev5gf5zc2kt4ch9ykhp9utt0jd3gdu2qtlmhct (love it), but I also have a Lenovo Thinkcentre box that I run proxmox on, then have a few containers, including one now running nostr:npub13tv0rauv3cgevcjzu298eg2ujd4j82ve6haer0lyu3rjuttw4a2s6mgea0 Haven and WoT relays.
Very helpful. I have an Umbrel running a relay, but it’s not as functional as I’d like it to be since it only stores one npub. What made you g with the Thinkcenter box over something like a Start9?
Yeh, the Umbrel relay is not really functional; more of a semi-backup relay.
I'm sure Start9 is great, and I hear plenty of people rave about it, but I wanted something wide open to build from scratch.
