But its hard...in all seriousness the online rustbook is useful and the projects included at the end of chapters do help you think and learn the basics.
Talking through things in #rust on irc.libera.chat was invaluable to me learning, several of the regulars are very knowledgeable and helpful. I think I can call myself an intermediate-level rust dev now but I'm far from an expert...
I've slowly gotten to a point I can read some code or follow it but still working on the writing part. I know what I want it to do but translating it from thought to code is where I get stuck
